Galvalume Steel Coil
For Galvalume steel coils, the steel sheet is immersed in a molten Aluzinc bath to make a sheet of Aluzinc coated on its surface. It is mainly produced by continuous galvanizing process, that is, the rolled steel plate is continuously immersed in a plating tank with Aluzinc melted to make Galvalume steel plate; alloyed Galvalume steel plate. This kind of steel plate is also manufactured by hot dip method, but immediately after being out of the tank, it is heated to about 500 ℃ to form an alloy coating of zinc and iron. This gGalvalume steel coils has good paint adhesion and weldability.
Galvalume is the result of an ideal alloy of aluminum and zinc . It consists of aluminum(55% in weight ), zinc (43.4% in weight ), and silicon(1.6% in weight ). It is similar to galvanizing in that it is a sacrificial metal coating which protects the base metal.
Anti- Fingerprint coatings have been applied on Galvalume steel for the purposes of white rust protection and improving lubrication during sheet forming processes.
